The year is 2002, and Timor-Leste is independent. However the young nation stands in a tenuous environment, surrounded by much bigger and more developed countries. Now it is the role of the Cabinet to decide how to move forward.

The government must deal with the regional impacts of the aftermath of Indonesian occupation. Student protests continue to grow as police and student tension rise and violence in the country is increasing. Beyond the domestic issues lies the question of this country’s role in the ever developing region. With international and domestic issues piling, Timor-Leste needs a cabinet that will guide the newly-formed country to legitimacy, or risk falling into anarchy soon after independence.
