This is an advanced crisis committee. Though there will be no application for the Ad-Hoc this year, delegates should have experience on or familiarity with crisis committees.
Good day delegates and all other readers. We speak for MUNUC that we-are very excited to bring you this year’s Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General! We would not, could not spoil the fun and reveal the topic of the committee at this time, but coming back to this page as we approach the conference date will reward you with One Thing or Two. If there is One thing to expect is that there will be much trouble (but fun) in the places you will go, but you will always have Two executives ready to support you at any given time. We hope that you can embrace the world that we have created and make it into your own with your creativity and care.
As you prepare to get on your way to MUNUC 37, we highly recommend that you focus on the fundamentals of crisis including speaking, directive writing, backroom notes, mergers and that as fas you can, you think of something to do for the variety of crises thrown to you. As the conference date approaches, we will be releasing hints about the committee topic, but you may not want to take them all too seriously, they might just be Red herrings. These hints are meant to be a fun way to gain insight into what the topic could possibly be, to maybe make the topic seem less out of the Blue. You’ll get mixed up, of course, but we-are sure that they will be fun for you.
The background guide for the Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General will remain secret until being released 24 hours prior to the Opening Ceremony of MUNUC 37. From then on, delegates will have the opportunity to prepare for the committee. Due to the nature of this committee, we recommend that delegates have experience competing in at least one crisis committee prior to MUNUC 37.
