CHPMUNC

The Chicago Hyde Park Model United Nations Conference (CHPMUNC) Program seeks to bring Model UN to students on the South Side of Chicago who might otherwise not have exposure to the activity. MUNUC members go to schools around Hyde Park and host after-school classes that help high-schoolers build confidence and skill in public speaking and research, and establish a foundational knowledge of world affairs.

CHPMUNC is MUNUC’s way to give back to the community that receives us at UChicago. Because MUNUC’s central mission is pedagogy, CHPMUNC plays an integral part of what we represent in serving our community. MUNUC commits to covering all conference expenses for all CHPMUNC participants. We aim to provide the opportunity and accessibility to learn from MUN to as many students as possible.
