Description:
As the security arm of the United States, the United States National Security Council (USNSC) comprises some of the most powerful individuals in the international arena. Policies made in the situation room shape the way the world turns on the most fundamental level, and the USNSC deals with a host of problems on a daily basis. Some of major challenges facing the USNSC moving forward are the evolving nuclear proliferation situations in Iran and North Korea, instability around the world especially in Southeast Asia, environmental problems in the gulf, and the growing challenges in the war on terror. Recent international developments including the financial crisis have strained relations between the United States and China, and things are approaching a tipping point as time slips into the future.
