Committee Group: Continuous Crisis Committees

Chair: Mr. Iliya Gutin
Crisis Director: Ms. Kelsay Foust

Description:
The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), one of the largest police forces in the United States, second only to the FBI, faces a whole host of challenges in the modern age. The link between gangs, gang violence, and drug money is undeniable, and DEA agents working in the field everyday must try to combat the multifarious and polyvalent nuances of the drug world. Moving forward, the DEA has ambitious goals to combat the growing use of Methamphetamines, Cocaine, Ecstasy, increasing problems with prescription drug abuse, as well as facing issues that result from the intersection of drugs and gang violence. DEA members must try to balance this variety of issues and their ever-changing and growing nature.
